A Hidden Paradise
I stumbled upon this hidden paradise and I'm ecstatic that I did! The grounds are lush and beautifully maintained, creating a peaceful oasis. The pool was a refreshing retreat on hot days. My room was upgraded to a spacious bungalow with a private terrace and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything was impeccably clean. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help plan my activities on the Caribbean coast. They even provided beach towels and had a variety of beach equipment to borrow. The hotel's location was convenient, within walking distance to town and the national park. I had an unforgettable stay and highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

We got excellent value for our money with a spacious, clean, and charming room overlooking a lovely garden. The location was perfect, right by the sea and close to the national park, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff at Playa Negra Guesthouse were incredibly welcoming and helpful, giving us a tour upon arrival and providing their WhatsApp number for any assistance.
The breakfast menu could benefit from including more options, but the owner gladly shared recommendations for nearby breakfast spots.

The couple who own the guesthouse were absolutely amazing, helping with everything we asked for. Pierre took us on two day tours, where we saw animals that no local guide would usually show. the guesthouse is well-maintained and sits in lovely grounds, with easy wildlife viewing. There's a choice of rooms and the owners are very helpful with travel arrangements.
Felt extremely safe, nothing too much trouble.

Our stay at Playa Negra Guesthouse was worth every penny. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and a safety deposit box. The location right next to the beach was perfect, and the owners Marise and Pierre were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was more variety in the options available.
